Abstract:Myostatin (MSTN) is a negative regulator of muscle growth that inhibits myoblast proliferation and differentiation.In order to explore the possibility of MSTN gene as a candidate for growth traits in Lanzhou fat-tailed sheep,PCR amplification and PCR-SSCP technology were used to detect the polymorphisms of MSTN gene in 536 Lanzhou fat-tailed sheep,and their population distribution was analyzed.Results:(1)Two SNPs were detected in the MSTN gene of Lanzhou fat-tailed sheep,among which the alleles of g.119286026C>A were CC and CA,and the CC genotype’s chest width and circumference were prominently higher than CA genotype (P<0.05),the alleles of g.119286166A>G locus were AA and AG,and the AG genotype’s body oblique length and weight of the were prominently higher than AA genotype (P<0.05),both points showed low polymorphism.(2)Genotypic combination analysis showed that two genotype combinations (A1 and C1) had a significant effect on the growth traits of Lanzhou fattailed sheep,and the body oblique length and chest circumference,width and depth of the genotype group C1 were prominently higher than genotype group B1 (P<0.05),and there were noprominent differences in other growth traits between genotype groups (P>0.05).The results showed that MSTN gene polymorphisms were prominently related with body oblique length,body weight,chest circumference and width of Lanzhou fat-tailed sheep,which could be used as an effective genetic marker site for their growth traits.

Abstract:In order to further optimize the coordination structure of silage and improve the benefits of meat sheep breeding.This article observes the growth performance of the meat sheep under the condition of mixed corn and red bean grass.The results show that:the mixed silage of corn and red bean grass can increase the crude protein by 4.54 percentage points,reduce the crude fiber by 0.96 percentage points,increase the total amount of feeding by 20 kg,increase The average daily feeding volume is 0.02 kg,the effect is good.

Abstract:Based on the urgent need for grassland ecological conservation in high-altitude pastoral areas,this study aims to change the traditional grazing farming method of Hezuo swine.It seeks to reveal the meat quality characteristics and maturation mechanisms of Hezuo swine under different farming systems.A comparative analysis of meat quality indicators during the cooling and maturation process after slaughter,including meat color,pH value,and myofibrillar fragmentation index,was conducted between two feeding systems:grazing and house feeding.The results indicate that at 4 ℃ conditions,the meat color of Hezuo swine meat remained stable during the maturation process.Rigor mortis was initiated on the day of slaughter,reaching its maximum extent at 12 h,and the maturation process was essentially completed within 24 h.The maturation pattern was similar to that of Hezuo swine in grazing compared to house feeding.

Abstract:In order to further study the promotion and application effect of early weaning technology of lambs in the production of meat sheep in Tianzhu pastoral area,the project team conducted an experiment on early weaning and fattening of Tianhua meat sheep lambs in Tianzhu pastoral area.Eighty Tianhua lambs with the same birth date and origin were selected for the experiment.There was no significant difference in birth weight and body weight among the subjects at 20 day old (P>0.05).They were randomly divided into experimental groups S1,S2,S3,and control group D1.The experimental group was weaned and fattened at 20 day old,35 day old,and 50 day old,respectively,while the control group was fed normally.The results showed that the average daily weight gain of the experimental group during the fattening period was 217.5,198.1 and 191.1 g,respectively.The average daily weight gain of the control group was 130 g at 120 d.The average daily weight gain of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was significant (P<0.05).The weight gain statistics during the entire feeding period of lambs showed that the weight gain and average daily weight gain of the experimental group were 32.4 kg,231.4 g,33.0 kg,235.7 g,and 30.4 kg,217.1 g,respectively.There was no significant difference between the groups (P>0.05),while the control group had 21.6 kg and 154.3 g,which were lower than the experimental group.The difference in weight gain between the experimental group and the experimental group was significant (P<0.05).The experiment shows that promoting early weaning and fattening technology for lambs in the production of meat sheep in Tianzhu pastoral area is feasible and can achieve good daily weight gain production benefits.

Abstract:The average birth weights of male and female lambs were 3.98±0.95 and 3.75±0.87 kg in the breeding core group of qiaoke tibetan sheep.The performance (body height,body length,chest circumference and body weight) of 6monthold male lambs in the selected group were increased by 4.15 cm,4 cm and 3.35 cm and 3.00 kg,respectively,compared with the nonselected group.The production performance (body height,body length,chest girth and body weight) of female lambs in the selected group were increased by 3.7 cm,3.71 cm and 2.65 cm and 2.74 kg,respectively,compared with those in the unselected group.The production performance (body height,body length,chest circumference and body weight) of 18monthold RAMS in the selected group was increased by 2.67 cm,3.1 cm,2.98 cm and 5.51 kg,respectively,compared with the nonselected group.The performance (body height,body length,chest circumference and body weight) of ewes in the selected group were increased by 2.60 cm,2.80 cm,1.20 cm and 3.00 kg,respectively,compared with those in the unselected group.The average body weight of adult male and female sheep was 66.8±4.1 and 58.92±4.57 kg,and the average body weight of adult male and female sheep in unbred herds was:63.00±3.82 and 56.44±3.71 kg were increased by 3.8 kg and 2.48 kg,5.83% and 4.33%,respectively.The body height,body length and chest circumference of adult male and female sheep in the selected group were increased by 3.46 cm,3.96 cm and 5.69 cm,respectively,compared with those in the unselected group.3.60 cm,3.80 cm,4.60 cm.After two years of strict selection according to the breeding standards,the structure of the core flock of sheep was adjusted and optimized significantly,the number of reserve breed RAMS meeting the standards increased,and the proportion of excellent ageappropriate ewes was significantly increased,among which the special grade and the first grade were increased by 5.2 and 9.7 percentage points respectively,and the reproductive survival rate was increased by 2.1 percentage points.The breeding results of qiaoke tibetan sheep were satisfactory.

Abstract:In recent years,the mutton sheep industry in Yongjing County of Gansu Province has developed steadily,and the number of lamb has reached more than 600 000.The authors conducted a field survey of 133 sheep farmers in nine administrative villages in five towns of Yongjing County Province,the time of death,symptoms and environmental changes were recorded,observed and compared.The results showed that the death rate of lamb due to disease was 33.28%,the death rate of feeding management was 25.66%,the death rate of fodder and nutrition was 23.01%,the death rate of genetic factors was 18.05%.The death of lamb is closely related to heredity,feeding and management,nutrition level and epidemic disease prevention and control,it can significantly improve the survival rate of lamb and promote the healthy development of mutton sheep industry.

Abstract:In this experiment,the length,fiber diameter,breaking strength and elongation of the villi on the side,back and scapula of Meiren yak were measured,the effects of different parts,sex,age and quality of villus were analyzed.The results showed that sex,age and body parts of Meiren yak affected the quality of villus,and the fiber diameter of female yak was significantly larger than that of male yak.There were significant differences in fiber diameter,natural length,straight length and breaking strength between male and female yaks at different ages,the quality indexes of villus of yak aged 3-6 years old were higher than those of yak aged 1-2 years old and relatively stable.The diameter and natural length of villus in the side of body were significantly lower than those in the back,and the breaking strength was significantly higher than that in the back.

Abstract:To establish an in vitro maturation and parthenogenetic activation culture system for Tan sheep oocytes,Tan sheep oocytes derived from ex vivo ovaries were subjected to in vitro maturation culture and parthenogenetic activation was performed using chemical activation method.The results showed that the average number of eggs obtained from detached ovaries of Tan sheep was 3.07,the maturation rate of oocytes was 54.78%,the cleavage rate was 61.92%,and the blastocyst rate was 17.72%.There was no significant difference between the replicates of the experiment(P>0.05).In summary,the culture system established in this experiment is relatively stable and suitable for the in vitro maturation culture of Tan sheep oocytes,laying a laboratory foundation for the production of in vitro fertilized embryos and cloned embryos.

Abstract:Through the application of synchronized estrus technology in multiple batches of imported long-yearling Hu sheep,small tail cold sheep,and local tan sheep from Dongxiang,Guanghe,and Huining,which are major sheep-raising counties,and the study of the application effect of room-temperature artificial insemination and synchronized estrus technology.The results show that:(1)Statistical test data analysis of lake sheep,small tail cold sheep in the same period of 96%,95%.Using artificial insemination technology to breed concurrent estrous ewes.The conception rate reached 82% and 80% respectively.The rate of batch production is controlled below 2%.The lambing rate reached 203%,227%,respectively.The application effect is obvious.Poor application effect of the local breed tan sheep in the non-estrus period.The period rate below 20%.Apply the same estrus technology in estrus.The same period rate reached 91%,the abortion rate reached 75%,the lambing rate reached 77.5%.The application effect is still good.In the crossbreeding offspring of different breeds with the Hu sheep and small tail cold sheep,the small tail cold sheep showed more obvious hybrid advantage,with their hybrid lambs having higher birth weight,weaning weight,and 6month weight than the Hu sheep.The optimal hybrid combination was Austrilia uhite×small tail cold sheep.The study concluded that Lake sheep and small tail cold sheep with perennial estrus characteristics have obvious effect of applying the simultaneous estrus technology in the scale sheep farm,which can be vigorously promoted and applied.Seasonal estrous tan sheep,alpine fine wool sheep and other sheep varieties have obvious effect in the same estrous technology,but poor application effect in the non-breeding season,which is not recommended.

Abstract:In order to investigate the inhibitory effect of traditional Chinese medicine compound preparation on the proliferation of porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) on PK-15 cells in vitro.In the experiment,four formulas of compound Chinese medicine preparations were selected,which were composed of seven traditional Chinese medicine extracts of Pulsatilla chinensis,Phellodendron chinense,Green husk,fried Atractylodes,jiao Sanxian,Herba agrimoniae,woody fragrance.Three modes of action were adopted:adding drugs first and then adding viruses,adding drugs and viruses after a period of time,adding viruses first and then adding drugs.The inhibitory adsorption and penetration of drugs on viruses,direct killing and inhibition of replication were observed.The results showed that the compound Chinese medicine preparation at a dose of 1 mg/mL had an effect on the proliferation of TGEV on PK-15 cells in vitro.The formula 2 was superior to the other three formulas,which had a good inhibitory effect on TGEV,and the direct killing effect had the best protective effect on cells.The cell survival rate was 75%(P<0.01),and an effective compound Chinese medicine preparation with three ways of antivirus was screened.The results can provide a scientific basis for the subsequent screening of antiTGEV drugs.

Abstract:Oral melanomas are the most common form of oral malignancy with a relatively poor prognosis in dogs,and prone to older dogs.For older dogs,due to their low immune function,the treatment is more difficult,and traditional surgery is not effective in the treatment of oral melanoma in dogs.Therefore,it is extremely important to explore a novel treatment for oral melanoma in older dogs.In this case,a novel argon-helium cryoablation was used to treat type II oral melanoma in an elderly dog.The results showed that the tumor-like soft tissue was significantly reduced and the inflammatory secretions disappeared 20 days after surgery;the tumor-like soft tissue basically subsided and the wound healed well 3 months after surgery;and no tumor recurrence or metastasis occurred 9 months after surgery.It indicated that novel argonhelium cryoablation is safe and effective for the treatment of canine oral melanoma in older dogs,which is worth popularizing in veterinary clinic.

Abstract:The dose of vaccine has a great influence on the growth and decline of immune antibody of camelback disease.Different doses of brucellosis vaccine A19 were injected into one-year-old camel to detect the immune antibody at different time.The results showed that the injection of a 1x and 2x doses of brucellosis vaccine had the least influence on immune antibody and the best protective effect.Three times the dose can seriously affect the growth and decline of immune antibodies.The results showed that the dose of A19 brucellosis vaccine had the least influence on the immune antibody of brucellosis vaccine and was the most suitable dose for injection.The results provide scientific basis for optimizing the immunization strategy of hump disease vaccine.

Abstract:Based on the data of Gansu provincial statistics official website and the panel data of animal husbandry comprehensive information platform,changes in pig inventory and marketing,the linear relationship between pig price fluctuation and piglet,pork and feed price fluctuation in Gansu province over the years were deeply analyzed.It is found that pig inventory and marketing in Gansu province has steadily increased,piglet price fluctuation is the largest,pork price fluctuation has the most significant impact on pig price fluctuation,and every 1% increase in pork price volatility results in a 0.08% increase in pig price volatility.Countermeasures and suggestions are there by put forward.

Abstract:This study focused on the application of non-invasive transcervical embryo recovery technology in ewes,and evaluated the effect of different administration methods on the recovery efficiency.Cervical relaxation,expansion and uterine contraction in female sheep were achieved by injecting estradiol benzoate and oxytocin,creating ideal conditions for embryo recovery.From 6.5 to 7 days after estrus,embryos were collected by cervical surgery using standing stand and strict preoperative preparation.The experimental results showed that the embryo recovery rate (93.75% and 100%) and the fluid recovery efficiency (96.28% and 96.75%) achieved high success rates,and the average number of recovered embryos also showed good levels (5.0 and 5.6).This study provides powerful data for the transcervical non-surgical embryo recovery technology,and has

Abstract:In 2023,the beef cattle breeding in Shaanxi Province will be affected by imported beef,domestic market prices,and feed input costs.Beef cattle production will show fluctuating shrinkage,inventory will decrease,and beef production capacity will steadily increase,continuing to improve.The market supply will be abundant,and consumer demand will be strong.However,the profit margin of breeding will gradually shrink,the downward pressure on the industry will increase,and the enthusiasm for breeding will be frustrated.This article presents the production situation of the beef cattle industry in our province in 2023,and proposes prospects and countermeasures for the development of the beef cattle industry in 2024.

Abstract:The course of introduction to animal science is complex and involves a wide range of subjects.Based on the requirements of biosafety,it is impossible to lead students to onsite teaching in animal farms.How to let the students get rid of the simple boring theory,strengthen the perceptual understanding,and truly master the course content has put forward new requirements for teachers' teaching.The traditional classroom pure theory teaching method is obviously unable to achieve the teaching purpose.Therefore,teachers are required to have rich practical experience and be able to introduce practical cases in production into the teaching process,so that students can understand the problems in production and the ways and approaches to solve them,strengthen the deep understanding of the course content,improve the quality of classroom teaching,and cultivate students' ability of independent thinking,practical innovation and teamwork.

Abstract:In order to understand the scientific research literacy(SRL) of undergraduates in veterinary medicine major and explore effective ways to further cultivate their SRL,a questionnaire was designed to investigate the SRL of 5 senior undergraduate classes in 3 categories of 2019 veterinary medicine major in Jilin Agricultural University.SPSS 23 software was used to carry out descriptive analysis,significant difference analysis and correlation analysis on the effective data obtained from the survey questionnaire.It was found that the students of veterinary medicine major had satisfactory scientific research consciousness.There were statistically significant differences in the postgraduate study plan,the enthusiasm of applying for scientific research projects,the understanding of the types of academic journals,and the writing of papers between the innovative class and the experimental class(P<0.05).There is no correlation between the post graduate study plan and the time of determining the professional direction and the scientific research spirit,the scientific research spirit is strongly correlated with the scientific research ability.It is suggested that while maintaining undergraduate research experience for some students,students' scientific research consciousness and scientific research spirit should be cultivated in class,and scientific research ability should be cultivated in extracurricular combination with tutorial system and graduation thesis,so as to lay a foundation for cultivating high-quality compound applied veterinary practitioners.

Abstract:The rapid development of the emerging discipline puts forward new requirements on veterinary personnel training,as well as interdisciplinary training mode has brought new opportunities and challenges.Veterinary discipline and the related emerging discipline teaching will help students to quickly adapt to the new era of effective integration between in the field of veterinary discipline development,rapid acceptance of knowledge and technology system of succession,developing well-rounded multidisciplinary cross talent.Nanomedicine delves into the nano-scale structures and functions within biological systems,opening new perspectives and possibilities for the widespread application of nanotechnology in areas such as drug delivery,biosensing,and medical imaging.Through precisely designed and controlled nanomaterials,it not only enhances the efficiency and targeting of drug delivery but also drives advancements in biomolecular detection and medical imaging technologies,laying a solid foundation for precision medicine and personalized healthcare in modern medicine.This paper focuses on the training of interdisciplinary integration talents of nanomedicine and pharmacy and veterinary science,deeply discusses the problems existing in the training,and discusses how to integrate nanotechnology into traditional veterinary teaching,the education and teaching concept of interdisciplinary teaching,how to effectively improve students' interdisciplinary awareness,and how to integrate related practice into the practice teaching of veterinary pharmacy.To promote veterinary students in the new era to adapt to the development of The Times in theory and thinking,promote the rapid development of the interdisciplinary discipline of veterinary medicine and nanomedicine in China,and achieve the goal of highquality talent training.

Abstract:This study utilizes CT scan data of canine thoracic and abdominal regions,employing 3D Slicer software for data rendering and 3D reconstruction,followed by anatomical segmentation and refinement of the generated models.Ultimately,models of the main organs in the canine thoracic and abdominal cavities were constructed,including parenchymal organs such as the liver,spleen,and kidneys,as well as hollow organs such as the heart,lungs,stomach,small intestine,large intestine,and bladder.Subsequently,an AR 3D anatomy software was developed using Unity3D,enabling the 3D visualization of the anatomical structures of the main organs in the canine thoracic and abdominal cavities.The aim was to assist in the diagnosis of canine diseases.The results indicate that 3D Slicer can successfully construct models of some canine abdominal organs,providing a reference for the diagnosis of clinical canine abdominal organ diseases.This study also enhances students' understanding of relevant anatomical forms and structures,offering valuable resources for educational purposes.

Abstract:This paper based on the teaching needs of Veterinary Surgery and Obstetrics and in conjunction with the typical job competencies required for veterinary assistants,takes the canine sterilization procedure as an example.It utilizes a virtual simulation training system as a platform for educational reform.The paper delves into five aspects of instructional design and practice:overall instructional design,teaching objectives,teaching strategies,teaching processes,teaching innovation,and teaching reflection.This paper aims to innovate informationbased teaching methods and explore the application effects of virtual simulation training platforms in vocational skilloriented courses.

Abstract:Undergraduate vocational education bears the important mission of cultivating professional skilled talents while shouldering the responsibility of moral education and nurturing talents with both moral integrity and professional competence required by society.Ideological and political education should run through the entire process of talent cultivation,reflected in every textbook of the education process.Meanwhile,the construction of undergraduate vocational textbooks is of great significance for promoting the sustainable and healthy development of undergraduate vocational education in China.This article takes curriculum ideological and political education as the starting point to explore the path of constructing Animal Pathology undergraduate vocational textbooks.By analyzing the current situation and development trends of undergraduate vocational textbooks,it elaborates on the principles,ideas,and specific measures for the development of Animal Pathology undergraduate vocational textbooks based on the perspective of curriculum ideological and political education.The aim is to provide important reference and guidance for the integration of curriculum ideological and political education with the construction of professional course textbooks.
