Abstract:In order to further improve the prevention and control of hydatid disease, this study carried out a deworming test against Echinococcus granulosus in dogs to observe the deworming effect of praziquantel tablets on Echinococcus granulosus in dogs. We selected local indigenous dogs as experimental dogs and divided them into experimental groups and control groups. We directly fed the test drug and control drug at a dose of 5 mg/kg, and administered the drugs three times in a row. The canine feces were tested for Echinococcus granulosus antigen before and after drug administration. At the same time, sheep feces were collected for Echinococcus granulosus antigen detection before and after the dogs were dosed. The deworming effect of both the test group and the control group was 100%, but the active ingestion rate of dogs in the control group was as low as 0.38%, while the active ingestion rate of dogs in the test group reached 89.22%. In the canine deworming test area, the infection rate of Echinococcus granulosus tapeworms in sheep also dropped significantly, with the infection rate in the test group dropping to 10%. The control group dropped to 23.33%. Natural ingredients are added to the test drug to mask the bitter taste of praziquantel, which increases the dog's active swallowing rate. The drug is relatively soft and facilitates split use. Therefore, this experimental drug is an ideal antiparasitic drug and has a good effect in expelling Echinococcus granulosus in dogs. The recommended dose is 5mg/kg.

Abstract:Corn for both grain and feed refers to a corn variety that can produce both grain and grass. This requires good greenness of stems and leaves when mature, high biological yield, relatively high grain yield, and is suitable for silage. In recent years, with the development of the breeding industry, the number of cattle farmers has increased. In order to ensure the supply of feed sources and achieve the purpose of farming and animal husbandry, corn varieties with both grain and feed are of great significance to the development of aquaculture. In order to screen out the corn varieties suitable for planting in eastern Gansu, we carried out comparative experiments on 8 corn varieties with both grain and fodder. We use the local main variety Xianyu 335 as a control. The experimental results showed that among the 8 maize varieties, Shendan 16, Dongdan 60 and Yuyuan 7879 had excellent comprehensive traits. It was higher than the control Xianyu 335 in terms of grain yield and biological yield. This can be promoted on a large scale in the same dry land terraces in the Longdong region. Jinsui 1 has better comprehensive traits, but its biomass is lower than that of the control, so further experiments are needed. Funong 998, Longdan 339 and Jiushi 20 have poor comprehensive traits and are not suitable for the promotion and planting of grainforage corn varieties.

Abstract:With the further advancement of grassland vegetation and ecological environment protection, and the implementation of returning grazing land to grassland and returning farmland to forestry, traditional sheep farming has gradually transformed from freerange nomadic herding to housing breeding. In recent years, Guazhou County has relied on the advantages of abundant crop straws and agricultural and sideline products, and has actively promoted regional production layout and improved varieties in accordance with the development idea of "building gardens to expand the scale of farms, synchronously developing largescale retail farms, and raising the level of standard breeding". Integrated population breeding, comprehensive forage utilization, and industrialized production and operation have established a production pattern of "expanding the breeding scale in the southeastern townships and focusing on forage fattening in the western townships." We promote standardized production, utilization of straw as feed, and allinone breeding model. At present, the number of sheep raised in the county has reached 1.1527 million, and the income from breeding industry has reached 342.5 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers from raising sheep is 1,420yuan, accounting for 13.5% of the per capita net income of farmers. This has increased farmers' income, played an important role in the sustainable development of agricultural and rural economic and social development, and achieved good social and economic benefits. Due to the change in feeding methods, the cost of breeding will inevitably increase. Only by mastering the key points of scientific fattening techniques for fattening lambs. Abstract:Corn straw silage is low in price, rich in sources, mellow and juicy, comprehensive in nutrition, good in palatability, has high digestibility and utilization rate, and can achieve balanced supply all year round. This is the main forage for beef (dairy) cattle. However, the moldy and spoiled silage (grass) of farmers poses a certain threat to the cattle industry and the safety of meat (milk) products. This has become a bottleneck problem for farmers to develop corn whole plants and straw silage for both grain and feed. Overcoming the problem of mildew and corruption of silage (grass) should arouse the great attention of practitioners.

Abstract:Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is a disease caused by the peste des petits ruminants virus, which mainly affects goats and sheep. In 2021, in order to accelerate the construction of PPRfree areas and achieve the construction standards of nonimmune PPRfree areas, a county in Changsha City plans to conduct a local compulsory vaccination risk assessment for PPR withdrawal. Qualitative risk assessment through methods such as PPR monitoring and circulation, hazard identification, risk path determination and risk factor level assessment has initially shown that the risk level of PPR may occur after the compulsory immunization against PPR is cancelled. For the middle. In terms of risk management measures, it is proposed that the withdrawal of compulsory immunization in this area should be postponed for one year, and the focus should be on improving policy support, strengthening monitoring and inspections, strengthening quarantine supervision, and strengthening training and publicity.

    • Effect of Sodium Humic Acid on Immune Function of Lambs

      2024, 43(1):101-103. DOI: 10.7606/j.issn.1004-6704.2024.01.028 CSTR:

Abstract:Sodium humate feed additive is a new green, lowcost and highefficiency additive. This has been widely studied and applied in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine at home and abroad. Wuwei City’s demonstration of the application of sodium humate in the field of animal husbandry is still in its initial stage. This test was implemented in conjunction with the farm project. By adding 0.5%, 1%, 2%, and 4% sodium humate to the dietary concentrates of lambs of the same age, the antibody reduction situation was tracked and detected, and the immunity of the test lambs was understood and compared. The length of protection period, disease treatment medications, and immune function regulation. The results showed that after feeding lambs under the same management conditions, the antibody levels of lambs in each test group were significantly higher than those in the control group and the protection period was extended, with significant effects(P<0.05). At 1%, 2%, and 4%, the immune antibody level of the lamb vaccine was still above 90% at 4 months, and at 1% and 2%, the cost of drug treatment was the least, and intestinal diseases such as diarrhea were significantly improved. As the sodium humate level increased, the immune indicators of the lambs gradually improved compared with the control group, and the immunoglobulin IgG and IgA contents in the blood of the sheep gradually increased. This suggests that adding relatively high levels of sodium humate can improve sheep immune function more than low levels. Under the current new situation of promoting healthy and antibioticfree breeding in China, it can be widely promoted and applied.

      Abstract (12) HTML (0) PDF 549.75 K (38) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:This study aims to understand the prevalence of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) and type 3 (PCV3) in five agricultural counties in Jiuquan City. 230 serum samples, 250 fecal samples, pig lungs, tonsils, and submandibular lymph nodes were collected from 19 largescale farms, 38 freerange households, and 4 slaughterhouses in different areas, different breeding scales, and different growth stages. Wait for 220 tissue samples. We conducted PCV2 and PCV3 nucleic acid testing on these samples, and 138 positive samples were detected, with a positive rate of 21.23%. The positive rate of PCV2 was 15.54%, and the positive rate of PCV3 was 5.69%. This indicates that PCV2 is more prevalent and has a higher positive infection rate than PCV3. However, there are certain differences in the degree of harm and prevalence in different regions and pig farms of different sizes. The overall positive infection rate in largescale farms is significantly lower than that in freerange households, and the infection rate in nursery pigs is higher than that of pigs at other growth stages. This experiment provides technical support for the comprehensive prevention and control of PCV infection in pig farms in Jiuquan City, which has a positive impact on scientific pig farming.

Abstract:Brucellosis is a zoonotic infectious disease. In the past, the disease was mainly prevalent in the north. After entering 2000, with the development of the breeding industry, the spread of the disease gradually expanded, and now it has spread to the whole country. The disease is caused by Brucella infection, and is generally transmitted to humans by sick cattle, sheep, pigs and other domestic animals. Livestock suffering from brucellosis often has abortion, infertility, empty pregnancy, and reduced reproductive survival rate. This significantly reduces the number of livestock, meat production, and milk production. This directly affects the development of animal husbandry and the prosperity of farmers. The diagnosis of brucellosis is mainly based on serological diagnosis, and the common diagnostic method for brucellosis at the grassroots level is tiger red plate experiment. This detection method has the advantages of low price and convenience. But it also has some shortcomings. In this paper, I will say some of my own views on the deficiencies, and propose ways to improve.
