    Abstract:

In order to make clear the spring and autumn immune effect of peste des petits ruminants (PPR) in Hunan Province and scientifically evaluate the immune quality of each region, the spring and autumn immune effect evaluation of PPR was carried out during 2020 to 2022. The results showed that the population qualification rate and the individual qualification rate were 65.3% and 71.0% respectively in 2020-2022. The immunity of PPR was unbalanced depending on regions of the province, with the highest individual immunization rate reaching 94.4% and the lowest only 47.5%. The immune effect of scale farm was better than freerange farm. The investigation showed that immunity awareness of some freerange farmers was weak, and therewere unscientific immunization operations. It is necessary to further strengthen the publicity and guidance of freerange farmers.
