Abstract:Attapulgite (APT), also known as palygorskite or palygorskite, is a kind of natural layered chain crystalline hydrated magnesium aluminum silicate mineral with excellent physical and chemical properties, which can be used as a green feed additive in animal husbandry production. This paper reviews the structure and physicochemical properties of attapulgite and its application in feed production and animal disease prevention and control.
