Abstract:In recent years, Zhangye City has implemented the overall deployment of regional ecological value transformation, correctly handled the relationship between ecological protection and industrial development, and guided herdsmen to actively explore a new model of animal husbandry transformation and development that combines "grassland grazing+house feeding breeding+remote borrowing". The herdsmen along the Qilian Mountains, mainly in Sunan County within the jurisdiction, have actively explored new models of borrowing grazing in agricultural areas while scientifically optimizing grassland grazing and vigorously promoting house feeding breeding, achieving good progress and results. While ensuring the natural grassland of Qilian Mountains to recuperate, they have fully utilized the straw in agricultural areas, and embarked on a new path of ecological protection, green transformation, animal husbandry growth, farmers" income increase, ethnic unity, and mutual benefit. This article analyzes the current situation of exploring the borrowing and grazing mode in the Qilian Mountain pastoral agricultural area of Zhangye City, and puts forward development suggestions.
