Abstract:Kalaazar, also known as visceral leishmaniasis, is a serious zoonosis. In recent years, several human cases of kala azar have occurred in Suide County. Tracing back to the historical occurrence of kalaazar among people and livestock, the majority of medical and nursing personnel and livestock and veterinary practitioners in Suide County have conducted indepth epidemiological monitoring, analyzed the causes of the disease, and put forward suggestions for comprehensive prevention and control of kalaazar in the future.
