    Abstract:

In the context of reducing or banning antibiotics in livestock and poultry breeding, the development and application of antibiotic replacement products seems to be nothing but Chinese herbal medicines. Practice has proved that it is feasible for Chinese herbal feed additives to replace antibiotics as animal antibacterial and growthpromoting agents. It can not only obtain good effects of disease prevention and disease resistance and growth promotion, but also solve the problems of drug resistance and drug residues. However, due to the wide variety and complex components of Chinese herbal medicine, there are many links in cultivation, processing, transportation, and storage, and the mechanism of action is unknown. Quality control standards for Chinese herbal medicines are not perfect. This will replace antibiotics with Chinese herbal medicines and use them in livestock and poultry farming.
