Abstract:Intestinal obstruction caused by foreign objects in small animals is one of the common intestinal diseases in dogs. It is easily confused with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis in clinical practice. This experiment, based on the medical history of a patient dog, combined with blood routine examination, CRP examination, endoscopy, and differential diagnosis with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, determined that it was a foreign body obstruction in the dog' intestines. The patient dog was attempted to use exploratory laparotomy for treatment. After the surgery, the main treatment measures were antiinflammatory, supplementing nutrition and body fluids, and repairing the gastrointestinal mucosa, achieving significant therapeutic effects. The research results can provide a reference diagnosis and treatment plan for the differential diagnosis and treatment of intestinal foreign body obstruction and hemorrhagic gastroenteritis in pet dogs.
