Abstract:Bovine viral diarrheal disease/mucosal disease (BVD-MD) has been widely prevalent at home and abroad in recent years and has caused serious harm to the cattle industry. It is difficult to make a differential diagnosis from other diarrheal diseases only by clinical symptoms and pathological changes. In order to diagnose and purify BVD-MD, it is very important to choose the best detection method. In practical applications, the choice of suitable testing methods should consider various testing purposes comprehensively. In this article, the basic information of BVDV, epidemic strains and detection methods of bovine viral diarrhea/mucosal disease in recent years were reviewed, in order to provide reference for the epidemiological investigation, pathogenic mechanism, detection and prevention of bovine viral diarrhea/mucosal disease.
