Reports of Cattle and Sheep Deaths Caused by Feeding Moldy Cornstalk in Rural Herds

伊宁市农牧区散养户饲养的69头(只)牲畜因饲喂霉变玉米秸秆,致使急性中毒死亡34头(只),分析牲畜死亡原因,制定预防措施,提升农牧民对于霉变饲草饲喂牲畜错误做法的认知度,降低家畜死亡率,提高养殖效益。

Abstract:

34 livestock (34 head of cattle and sheep) from rural areas in Yining City died from acute poisoning after being fed with moldy cornstalks. The cause of the livestock deaths was analyzed, preventive measures were formulated, and the awareness of rural farmers about the incorrect practice of feeding moldy fodder to livestock was raised, in order to reduce the livestock mortality rate and improve livestock farming efficiency.
