Abstract:In veterinary clinics and animal husbandry practices, cases of allergic reactions in cattle caused by inadvertent use of drugs often occur. In such cases, the etiology is known, diagnosis can usually be made quickly and treatment can be initiated promptly. However, cases of allergic reactions to corn stalks eaten by cattle are rare. Corn stover has the advantages of high carbohydrate content, relatively high moisture content, good palatability and high yield. This is one of the important crops that have been popularized in recent years. Cases of cattle allergic to corn stover are rare. When looking for pathogens, veterinary workers often don't consider corn stalks, and cannot make accurate clinical diagnosis and rescue in time. In the process of diagnosis and treatment, the author encountered a case of allergic reaction caused by cattle eating fresh and tender corn stalks. We applied antiallergic drugs for symptomatic treatment according to the diagnosis results, and received good results on the same day, indicating that the diagnosis was accurate. Through the diagnosis and treatment report of this case, this paper hopes to help veterinary practitioners in the diagnosis and treatment of this kind of disease.
