Abstract:Since 2018,the Anding District of Dingxi City in Gansu Province has been affected by factors such as African swine fever, the COVID19 pandemic, and intensified farming. As a result, the duration of the pig breeding cycle has become shorter, and the price fluctuations have become more frequent and significant, posing high risks for farmers. To stabilize pig prices and mitigate farming risks,it is suggested to improve information monitoring, develop characteristic pig farming practices, and introduce “insurance+futures” services, which can help alleviate the frequency of pig price fluctuations and reduce farming risks for farmers.
